- Our Aphrodisias Peshtemal from the Thriae Handmade collection. This Peshtemal features a modern dark stripe on a natural background and fits any aesthetic. It is gorgeously soft and absorbent - but just as home in the bath as it would be as home decor or a fashion accessory.
- Traditional soap from a small atelier in Balikesir, Turkiye. Each piece is unique, as it is hand shaped with a wooden paddle on a marble slab, earning its name tas-dovulmus sabun (stone-beaten soap.) 100% organic and artisan made.
- A traditional Turkish hamam kesesi, or exfoliating mitt. Designed to stay on your hand whilst in use, the natural fabrics slough off dry skin and leave you feeling amazing. Note: the kese should only be used with water after utilizing the soap to cleanse the skin and rinsing off.
Our bag is also designed to be re-used for whatever you may need it for: we use ours for travel - they make excellent bags for shoes, makeup, or even the dirty laundry!

About Aphrodisias:
One of the most well-preserved archaeological sites in Anatolia, Aphrodisias is perhaps best known for the Temple of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. Located about 100 kilometers off the coast of the Aegean, it was once a bustling city established in the 2nd century, BC. Aphrodisias became well known for its Carian marble sculptures, and for being home to many sought after artisans of the time. It was also a known center for Paganism until the end of the 5th century. It's ruins are a delight to visit as it is not difficult to imagine life among the beautiful landscape and marble.

Peshtemal Care:Your peshtemal is pre-washed right out of the package, but we always recommend a cycle through the machine so you have a fresh towel.
Wash as with any other cotton textile:
Machine wash warm
Tumble dry low
Line dry is recommended but not required
Warm iron if desired
Soap Care: Natural soap can melt easily in a humid environment. Take care to store your soap in a dish that elevates its bottom from accumulated water and allow it to dry between use.
Kese Care: Your kese should be hand cleaned with a mild soap (you can use what came in your gift bag!) and rinsed thoroughly prior to first use. Hang to dry between use.
