We are in love with this gauzy and lightweight pestemal in all of its bright and happy colorways, all interwoven with gold. The Halicarnassus is summertime in a towel and perfect for the beach or pool, to use as a cover up, or as a scarf/shawl for those cool summer evenings.

Made from 100% hand-loomed Turkish cotton in the inner Aegean region of Denizli. We have carefully sourced our Turkish textiles to ensure that the manufacturing process supports small, family-run businesses. Please embrace any variations in size or weaving as a unique quality of your handmade piece.

About Halicarnassus:
Halicarnassus was an ancient Greek city that is located in Southwestern Turkey, now called Bodrum. It is a popular vacation spot, with a rich history sprinkled among the beautifully clear waters of the Aegean. Ruins of numerous temples, an amphitheater, and the Bodrum castle (in which there is actually a nightclub) can all be visited today.
Your peshtemal is pre-washed right out of the package, but we always recommend a cycle through the machine so you have a fresh towel.

Wash as with any other cotton textile:
Machine wash warm
Tumble dry low
Line dry is recommended but not required
Warm iron if desired
The Halicarnassus is a summer best seller, and for good reason! It is the perfect light weight to carry everywhere with you - it's an excellent towel, sarong, and beach dress. It's also a lovely scarf, skirt, even shopping bag. With four bold and bright colorways, it just feels like summer.
