Our lightest weight and gauziest peshtemal is perfect for a variety of uses. We love wearing the Koressos as a sarong over our bathing suits in the summer and as a scarf in the cooler weather. It's also the perfect head wrap, stroller cover, lightweight blanket for travel, and of course multi-use towel. This is definitely the one we reach for most frequently in our peshtemal collection!
Made from 100% hand-loomed Turkish cotton in the inner Aegean region of Denizli. We have carefully sourced our Turkish textiles to ensure that the manufacturing process supports small, family-run businesses. Please embrace any variations in size or weaving as a unique quality of your handmade piece.

Mt. Koressos is the site of the house of the Virgin Mary, where it is thought that she lived out her final years. Near Ephesus in Selcuk in Western Turkey, the house was discovered in the 19th century and has since become a Catholic shrine. However, people of all faiths flock there to pay respects, pray, and drink from fountains on site that are said to flow with holy water.
